Discover a 3 masted sail cruiser which can accommodate up to 49 passengers in 25 cabins. The "PAN ORAMA" was launched in 1993 and was renovated in 2009. This state of the art sail cruiser has performed several Atlantic Ocean crossings and has sailed from the Seychelles to Monte Carlo and from the Black Sea to Tunis and offers the highest standard of accommodation and comfort safety.
During the day, life on board centers around the outdoor areas, the sun deck and the shaded exterior deck on the aft of the " PAN ORAMA"
In the evening you can relax in the lounge bar and have a drink while listening to the piano music.
The Classy spacious dining room is surrounded by large windows providing beautiful views and accommodates all guests in one seating.
The Lounge is situated on the main deck and has a library where you can enjoy a book and look through the floor to roof windows.
Itinerary:
October 10 - Athens
Arrival Athens International airport where you are met after baggage control and customs and assisted to your waiting motorcoach. Transfer to the hotel or enjoy an orientation tour of Athens (all dependent on time of flight arrival to Athens). Enjoy a tour of Athens, combining many of the city's principal modern and classical sights. This tour includes an overview of the modern city and striking contrasts to the remains of its glorious past. Drive by the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in front of the Parliament House on Constitution Square, the Panathenian Stadium (site of the first modern Olympic Games in 1896). See vistas of the Presidential Palace (ex Royal Palace), government buildings and elegant homes. Drive along Panepistimiou Avenue and view the Catholic Cathedral, the Academy, University, National Library and Omonia Square. In contrast, we visit the Roman Temple of Olympian Zeus and the crowning beauty and glory that was Athens, the Acropolis with its many monuments atop its rocky base, including the awesome Parthenon, the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike and the Erechtheion with its Porch of Maidens. Check in to your hotel in Athens. Rest of day at leisure to relax and rest up.
October 11 - Delphi
Starting from Athens we drive westwards along the scenic coast, until we reach the Corinth Canal with its breathtaking views (short stop). Shortly thereafter we reach the ancient town of Corinth (visit) where St. Paul lived and preached for two years. Back in the ancient times Corinth was amongst the richest cities and this is quite evident by its remains, including the huge agora (market place) and Apollo’s Temple (6th C.B.C) brief stop at the site of the ancient port of Kechreai where St. Paul disembarked. Drive to Mycenae, the legendary home of the Atreides, where you visit the archaeological site. and then depart for Epidaurus- visit the archaeological site and the theatre famous for its remarkable acoustic. Drive on to Delphi and check in to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
October 12 - Kalambaka
Morning visit to the archaeological site and the Museum of Delphi. At the foot of Mount Parnassos, within the angle formed by the twin rocks of the Phaedriades, lies the Pan-Hellenic sanctuary of Delphi, which had the most famous oracle of ancient Greece. Delphi was regarded as the centre of the world. According to mythology, it is here that the two eagles sent out by Zeus from the ends of the universe to find the navel of the world met. The sanctuary of Delphi, set within a most spectacular landscape, was for many centuries the cultural and religious centre and symbol of unity for the Hellenic world and home to the Delphic Oracle between the 6th and 4th centuries. Depart Delphi and drive through central Greece and via Mt. Pelion to Kalambaka. Check in to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
October 13 - Athens
Morning visit to the breakthtaking cliff hung monasteries at Meteora. Meteora is from the biggest and most important group of monasteries in Greece after those in Mount Athos. We can locate the first traces of their history from 11th c. when the first hermits settled there. The rock monasteries have been characterized by Unesco as a unique phenomenon of cultural heritage and they form one of the most important stations of cultural map of Greece.
Then return to Athens stopping at Thermopyle the site of the famous battle where King Leonides of Spara and the 300 spartans fought against the Persian army. Arrive to Athens and check in to your hotel.
October 14 - Cruise
Morning visit to the new Acropolis museum just opened this past June. Then transfer to Marina Zea is Pireaus to board your cruise ship. Dinner under Cape Sounio and then overnight at sea to SANTORINI
October 15- Santorini - Sailing at 11.pm for Patmos
October 16 – Patmos - Patmos 8 am to 1 pm – sailing for Hios and arrival there at 8 pm – Overnight
October 17 Hios – Hios all day then sailing at 11.30 pm for Mykonos - Overnight at sea
October 18 – Mykonos – Swim stop at Mykonos beach for 2 hours and BBQ - 2 pm into Mykonos – Overnight
October 19 – Aegina – early morning sailing to Aegina – arrival mid-day - Aphea Temple visit and overnight
October 20 – Athens – Fly home - early morning sailing to Athens – disembarkation after breakfast
October 20 - Airport
Disembark after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your departure flight from Athens.
